More than eighty percent of break-ups in marriages is traceable to couples inability to define and establish their role and place, It is very imperative for the woman to know her place in marriage, and as a matter of fact more important for her than the man. In order to help us understand the place of the woman in marriage, we shall try to give a definition of a wife.
A wife can be defined as any woman who is legally bound to a man, for the purpose of sharing all things, complementing and correcting the man. When a woman marries a Man, she marries everything about the man, both the good and the bad, any woman who has made up her mind to be with the man, must be ready to stay with him both in the bright and dark moments.
A wife can also be defined as any woman who has a head, who she belongs to, and is answerable to in all things and at all times. This definition emphasizes the importance of submission in marriage, any woman who wants to feel like the real woman and enjoy being with the man, must learn to submit herself to her husband, no matter how beautiful a woman is, she is disgusting, if she is not submissive. This partly explains the reason why many men have beautiful wives and yet sleep outside. The wive belongs to her husband, no woman, whether muslim, chirstian, or pagan can effectively serve her god or God without effectively serving her husband. If the wife belongs to the husband, it invariably means that every thing the woman has equally belongs to him, a wise woman must keep this in mind, so that when situations arise that would demand her being the bread winner, she can still respect and serve the husband.
From the foregoing, one might want to conclude that the woman is simply a slave to the man in marriage, but this is not it, the wife is a lover, a sister, councellor, a mother and everything good to the husband, but in order for her to gain acess to function in all these offices, she must first unlock the key by simply submitting herself to the husband.
Conclusively, the woman cannot do without the man and the man equally cannot do without the woman, the success of any marriage lies majorly in the hands of the woman.
